The Moorings Golf and Country Club maintains an active social calendar with holiday celebrations, themed dinners, live entertainment, and a number of clubs that meet on a regular basis reflecting the diverse interests of members.  Clubs centered around Cars, Investments, Books, and Bridge are just few of the favorites.  One of the more popular activities is Bocce with newly built courts that cater to the hundreds of members who play in the fall and winter leagues. Residents pay a nominal fee for exclusive use of a private beach along Gulf Shore Boulevard that includes parking, restrooms and an expansive picnic area with shady park benches designed for reflection while enjoying the shoreline.  Perfect for families and guests, the park also includes full-time attendants to assist with parking and maintenance. Membership includes the ability to host a party in the Chickee Hut at the park which has served as the site of family reunions as well as more formal affairs.
