North Naples West Attractions
Vanderbilt Beach Park is North Naples’ signature beach, located close to area hotels, restaurants and shopping. The park offers a number of conveniences, including free parking for Naples residents with a beach parking permit, restrooms, and showers. A concession stand rents recreational equipment as well as beach chairs and cabanas. Just a short walk across the street, residents and visitors can stock up on snacks, ice cream and frozen drinks for the complement to a beach outing.
A favorite of families, the water is warm and shallow enough for children to play safely away from the beach as well as look for the delicately scalloped shells that are washed up along the shore. The powdery white sand is also the perfect consistency for building sandcastles. Nature enthusiasts can spot nesting or migrating birds within the park or catch a glimpse of friendly dolphins frolicking not far from the beach. Despite the wide expanse of sand and sun, visitors report cooling breezes in even the hottest temperatures.
