Windstar Upgrading Clubhouse
This month the clubhouse at Windstar on Naples Bay in Naples will begin a $1.4 million interior remodel, and the club is expected to close for the summer. The members of Windstar in Naples have approved this redesign in addition to an already approved $1.4 million golf course project which will include a greens rebuild for 22 putting greens. Gulfshore Business Magazine named Windstar as the Best Private Country Club in Southwest Florida in 2013 and 2014.
The Clubhouse upgrades will include new flooring, carpeting, and furniture. The Club will also install glass doors that open to the veranda dining area that overlooks the Naples Bay. Windstar is fortunate to have a bayside location and a private beach with a boat shuttle. The Club will uphold its Florida lifestyle by decorating the interior with a coastal color palette. The pre-approved $1.4 million greens rebuild has been contracted with TDI International to shape 22 putting greens to their pre-existing contours as they were originally in 2003. The greens will be substituted with TifEagle Bermuda grass greens and contain a SubAir drainage system. The members will not be assessed. Other amenities at Windstar on Naples Bay include an 18-hole Tom Fazio-designed golf course, 6 Har-Tru Tennis Courts, an Audubon Club and a Fishing Club.
