The Isles of Capri is a Hidden Gem

Tucked away between the Gulf of Mexico and the Florida Everglades, the Isles of Capri is a true hidden gem for those searching for a new home in the Naples area. Originally developed in the 1950s, the community was formed by connecting four mangrove islands to the mainland with a series of bridges.

Set between Johnson Bay, Tarpon Bay and the Marco River, the location means the opportunity to find some sensational views from the development’s many waterfront homes and condos. Overflowing with Old Florida charm, buyers in Isles of Capri can choose from inland homes, Gulf-access homes or even waterfront condos, with both seasonal and full-time residential possibilities.

New buyers are often attracted to Isles of Capri for its location, its views, and its waterfront recreation. Surrounded by the water, the island community is ideal for those who enjoy fishing, boating, or simply taking in the natural beauty of the region from their own slice of paradise.

The gated La Peninsula condo complex at the Isles of Capri is made up of a half-dozen buildings and plenty of desirable amenities. This includes a boat dock with dozens of slips, tennis courts, an exercise room, and a heated swimming pool.

Marco Towers is another condo property that includes a community fishing pier and swimming pool. There are also some single-family homes with private docks and some large estate homes overflowing with luxury features.

Occasionally, prospective buyers may also come across a waterfront lot for sale in the community, with deep water, direct access to the Gulf. Tarpon Village is a 55+ community that offers boat docks and a community pool, while Twin Dolphins is a gated community with racquetball courts, a clubhouse, and tennis courts.

There’s even a Paddlecraft Park, with its own picnic pavilions and a launch point for non-motorized vessels. The park’s a popular spot to paddleboard, canoe, or kayak.
