The History Behind Coquina Sands
As the very first location in Naples to offer condos on the beach, Coquina Sands now supplies your choice of condos, single-family homes and estate homes in an enticing location. Once considered as the northernmost section of Naples, Coquina Sands to this day offers an incredible location and some of the city’s most desirable residences.
From beachfront condos with direct access to the sand to canal homes and gulf access estates, you’ll find a rich collection of different home designs to choose from in Coquina Sands. While some of the older homes of the area have since been remodeled, others have been torn down and replaced with newer construction.
Still standing today is Bahama Club. The first beach co-op to go up in Naples, Bahama Club was first constructed in the 1950s. The property is well known for its beach access and its incredible Gulf views.
Just a few blocks away from Bahama Club is the renowned Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. The property offers hundreds of hotel rooms, several tennis courts, a spa, dining and an 18-hole golf course. Meanwhile, Coquina Sands is now home to more than 200 single-family homes and more than 600 multi-family residences. Found south of Moorings and north of Olde Naples, the exceptional location of Coquina Sands positions residents within easy access of the sand and water, plus also close to local shops and dining.
Sitting between US 41 to the east and Lowdermilk Park Beach to the west, the setting makes it easy to go to the beach for some relaxation or recreation. The large beach park has room for a volleyball court, picnic space and a playground. It’s also a popular spot for catching a sunset.
