Royal Harbor: Outstanding Naples Boating Community

If you’ve always dreamed about experiencing a true Southwest Florida lifestyle, but one without the sometimes high cost of living on the waterfront, there’s another option for buyers in the Naples area. Royal Harbor is not only an exceptional community of single-family homes and condos, but it’s also one of the city’s most affordable boating communities.

Homes in this well-established community first started going up in the 1960s and 70s, right on the eastern shore of Naples Bay. Like some of the other long-standing communities in the area, however, you will now see a mix of older homes and some newer single-family homes.

Condos in the community typically range from around 1,000 to 1,700 square feet of living space. The single-family homes, however, vary greatly in size.

While some private homes in Royal Harbor may be a cozy 1,800 square feet in size, you will also find sprawling estates of around 10,000 square feet of living space. That’s because some of the older homes in Royal Harbor have since been torn down and replaced by luxurious waterfront estates.

Even so, the community is widely considered to be a great choice for those in search of direct waterfront property in Naples. Homeowner fees are extremely low in the community, compared with others.

Many of the homes of Royal Harbor do sit on canals with direct Gulf access via Naples Bay and Gordon Pass, which is a real selling point. Most waterfront homes have boat docks too, and many of the canals can support larger vessels. That’s why the location, age and size of a home in Royal Harbor all play into its price point.

The convenient setting isn’t just about the waterfront. The private community of Royal Harbor is also just minutes away from popular Third Street and 5th Avenue South in Naples.
