PGA Champions Tour Returns to Tiburon Golf Club

The PGA Champions Tour is headed back to Tiburon Golf Club once again this coming February. The 2022 Chubb Classic returns to Tiburon on February 14-20. This is the 35th year for the city’s flagship event.

Tiburon Golf Club in North Naples holds the honor of being the only facility to play host to a PGA Tour Champions, PGA Tour and LPGA Tour event within the same calendar year. The Black Course at Tiburon Golf Club was also the site of the 2021 Chubb Classic this past April.

Plans call for Tiburon to host the LPGA’s CME Group Tour Championship this November. Held on the Gold Course, the event is the LPGA Tour’s season-ending event.

The golf club additionally hosts the QBE Shootout each December, which is also held on its Gold Course. The event has been held at Tiburon for the past 20 years.

Home to two 18-hole golf courses, both The Gold and The Black courses at Tiburon were designed by Greg Norman. First opened in the late 1990s, The Gold Course was the very first course at Tiburon.

It was followed up by the addition of The Black Course at Tiburon a few years later in the early 2000s. The semi-private club is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, as designated by Audubon International for its efforts to enhance and protect its natural surroundings.

Tiburon is additionally home to a clubhouse with multiple options for on-site dining, plus lounge areas, member locker rooms and a golf shop. In addition, Tiburon boasts its own Golf Academy with a team of coaches on hand to help golfers perfect their game.

The famed Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort sits just adjacent from the two courses. The greater Tiburon community also features several neighborhoods, with real estate options ranging from single-family homes to villas and condos.
