Pelican Sound is both a peaceful sanctuary for escape and a lively hub of social activities for its residents. The calm serenity of nature permeates the master-planned gated golfing community of Pelican Sound Golf and River Club in Estero, featuring a dozen subdivisions with a variety of residential styles that fits your family: estate homes, executive homes, coach homes, carriage homes and condominiums. Golf begins with 27 holes of golf on a championship-designed course, which is also an Audubon-certified sanctuary. Every homeowner in Pelican Sound enjoys golf privileges. The course integrates many of the wetlands and woodlands found at Pelican Sound. The course features a driving range, practice facilities, golf schools and clinics.

There is abundant fishing and shelling via the water taxi to the Gulf of Mexico and for families to explore one of the many little isles only accessible by boat. A Kayak Park is located on Pelican Sound at the River Club. Kayaks are available free of charge to members and their guests. The Estero River is part of the Calusa Blueway paddling trail and a left turn takes you to the backwaters where you can enjoy scenic wildlife in the area.
Popular social events and traditions are planned each year for Pelican Sound residents, including welcome parties, Winter Holiday Ball, New Year’s Eve celebration, theme parties and trivia nights. Seminars are a big favorite with residents on topics ranging from nutrition, animals and nature to spies and interior home decorating. Pelican Sound Golf and River Club is nicely located in close proximity to the airport, Estero Community Center, Miromar Outlets, Germain Arena and the International Design Center.
