Locals already know the appeal of living in Naples, but now the rest of the world is beginning to see and experience some of its allure. Naples just ranked second on the list of 2020’s best small cities.

The ranking comes from a marketing and branding website called Resonance. It considered a city’s ranking in terms of a variety of categories, including landmarks and sites, museums, dining experiences and more.

While around two-dozen factors were analyzed in all, the website gave Naples some of the highest marks for its amenities and its quality of life. Together they helped push Naples to the very top spot in the category of “place”.

In particular, Resonance pointed out all of the city’s beaches and locations to experience life outdoors. The website specifically drove the point home with Barefoot Beach Preserve.

The natural appeal of the undeveloped barrier island and its birdlife were mentioned as being particularly attractive to residents. Not only is the beach said to be a nice and peaceful place for lounging in the sun, but there’s plenty to see and experience at the location, as well.

The website additionally pointed out the city’s downtown area, mentioning Naples Pier as being a great place to visit and watch a sunset. Naples ranked second for is restaurant scene and fifth for culture.

The website mentioned Marco Island Historical Museum is a great place to visit that helps tell the area’s history. It’s by far not the only time Naples has ranked high on a list of desirable cities.

In the past, WalletHub has rated Naples as the “Best Beach Town to Live In”. The city has also made another list called the “Best Place to Retire”. For 2020’s list, Resonance only considered small cities with metros consisting of 100,000 to 500,000 residents.
