Naples Named Top Small City

This month Conde Nast Traveler magazine named the city of Naples to the annual Top 15 list of “Best Small Cities” in America. Its 2015 Readers Choice Awards gave Naples a number 15 berth, following Santa Barbara, California. Naples was described by Conde Nast Traveler as a small southwest Florida town with “no shortage of beautiful beaches…but locals head to the white sands of Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park.” Other popular activities in “this upscale southwest Florida town includes hitting the links (LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort), splurging on high-end shopping, and spotting dolphins offshore on an eco-tour.” Naples is no stranger to winning accolades for its combination of scenic beauty, luxury and year-round outdoor recreational activities.
The Readers Choice Awards, announced last week, were based on Conde Nast Traveler’s responses from readers to a voluntary questionnaire. More than 128,000 responses were tabulated based on ratings of small cities. On the list of Top 15 “Best Small Cities” in America, Charleston, SC came in at No. 1, followed by Santa Fe, NM; Park City, UT; Aspen, CO; Savannah, GA; Telluride, CO; Sedona, AZ; Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA; Asheville, NC; Newport, RI; Napa, CA; Taos, NM; Laguna Beach, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; and Naples, FL.
Naples is a beautiful area that offers spectacular luxury homes, single-family homes, beachside condos, and attached villas for year-round residents or seasonal visitors living in a second home. Naples is known for its pristine white sandy beaches and natural beauty. Naples has magnificent azure-colored Gulf waters. There are 17 miles of beaches here. The Naples beachfront is often rated among the best of world-class living. Naples has some of the best fishing, boating and golf in the world, in addition to many other sports and outdoor recreational activities. It is also home to fine entertainment venues, art galleries, and cultural attractions, like the Barbara B. Mann Center for the Performing Arts.
