Naples Named 2nd Best Place to Live in Florida

When it comes to Florida living it’s sometimes difficult to narrow down the list of the top places to live but with Naples there really is no comparison. Recently named as number two in the coveted “10 Best Places to Live in Florida” by Smart Travel Tips, Naples receives high marks for it’s impressive, pedestrian-friendly downtown, its stunning beaches and it’s admirable public schools.

While not exactly known for its affordable housing, Naples is renowned for a low crime rate and low unemployment, commonly emerging on various lists of the best places to live. It’s not hard to see why when you take a look at the expansive Naples beachfront, with both Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park beach and Barefoot Beach both formerly making Dr. Beach’s famed list of the “Top 10 beaches”.

Meanwhile the area is also known for its unique architecture and uninterrupted beach and Gulf views. Far from other cities that allow for tall buildings and signs along the waterfront, Naples city leaders place limits to keep the natural beauty of the city intact.

Known for its beachside dining and plentiful outdoor recreation, Naples is also noted for limitless fishing and boating. From casting a line for the fresh catch of the day straight from Naples Fishing Pier to a boating lifestyle, there is much to inspire residents of this fantastic community. A number of golf courses and golf communities also entice homebuyers, complimented by luxury homes and abundant features.

From the rich history of Old Naples to the modern specialty shops and quaint cafes of Fifth Avenue South and Third Street South, options in entertainment, nightlife and sophistication are all around you. Not to be overshadowed, the comfortable Gulf temperatures stay mostly between the 60s and 80s all year round, accented by spectacular sunsets and enviable surroundings.
