Just Minutes from the Gulf, Carolands is a Boater’s Dream

Situated right on Estero Bay, the waterfront community of Carolands is simply a boater’s dream. Most homes in the community have their own boat docks, with waterfront lots offering deep-water, direct access to the Gulf via Estero Bay.

The location of Carolands means finding a home with wide open views of the Bay and the Intracoastal, which is a real treat for buyers searching in Bonita Springs. Some of the homes of Carolands offer additional privacy with views overlooking mangrove estuaries.

The non-gated community is extremely desirable not only for its location, but for its many opportunities to enjoy the benefits of a Southwest Florida waterfront lifestyle. Close to Bonita Beach too, living in Carolands means its relatively easy to take a stroll to the beach, or to hop on your own boat and enjoy the natural beauty of the region from the water.

Most homes in Carolands come with private swimming pools and plenty of private luxuries. Constructed starting around the 1950s, some of the oldest homes in Carolands have been remodeled or torn down altogether.

This means there’s also room for newer construction homes in Carolands, some of which have joined the neighborhood in more recent years. For this reason, you’ll find a large variety of homes in the community, including some Old Florida-style homes and some large waterfront estates.

While the neighborhood is certainly desirable, it’s not often homes come up for sale in the community. Found off Hickory Boulevard in Bonita Springs, people are drawn to the area for a boating lifestyle, and that’s just what living in Carolands provides.

For extra privacy, the homes of Carolands all sit on a single cul-de-sac street. One thing to keep in mind is that there’s no homeowner’s association in Carolands. Also, this is a non-gated, Bonita Springs community.
