Family-Friendly Waterways of Naples Offers Strong Sense of Community

Home to mostly year-round residents of all ages, family-friendly Waterways of Naples offers a strong sense of community. Made up of more than 400 homes and 150 acres of lakes, the community was mostly built up between the late 1990s to the early 2000s.

Because of all the lakes in this gated community, residents can commonly be seen out kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing, and canoeing in area waterways. Most of the homes also have the advantage of water views.

As well, the community includes a fishing pier, a clubhouse with a fitness center, a picnic area, and a children’s playground. You’ll also find space for volleyball, a basketball court, and two tennis courts for added recreation.

The community commonly hosts a number of family-friendly events throughout the year as well, including live music, movie nights, food trucks, and holiday-themed parties and festivities. An activities committee helps to facilitate the planned events, including an annual Easter egg hunt, a Memorial Day cookout, and a holiday parade, as well as a neighborhood garage sale and holiday decorating contest.

The community of Waterways of Naples sits within walking distance of a local elementary and middle school, plus it’s not far from the local high school either. Homes in Waterways of Naples also sit close to Big Corkscrew Island Regional Park.

The 150-acre park is brand new, with sports fields, basketball courts, and walking paths. Future plans for the park include an aquatic complex and other amenities.

While the community of Waterways of Naples is already sold out, there are sometimes homes that come on the market. It’s common to find a three- to four-bedroom home with the option for a three-car garage and a private swimming pool, as well as lanai. Some floorplans include a den or study that gives a bit of flexibility for homeowners to transform the space into a home office.
