For the Southwest Florida lifestyle without the hefty price tag, consider searching for your next home in Bonita Shores. While it’s possible to find some larger, five-bedroom homes on the water in Bonita Shores, the boating neighborhood also offers some options that are more affordably priced.
This non-gated community doesn’t have a lot of extras that tack on to monthly living expenses, but it does provide an ideal spot for many searching for a home in this part of Southwest Florida. In turn, homes don’t stay on the market long in Bonita Shores, especially if you’re in the market for one of the lower priced homes in the neighborhood.
In particular, homes priced less than $350,000 typically tend to sell fast. Some of the more expensive homes in the neighborhood are considered part of Little Hickory Shores, which is also within Bonita Shores.
This offers up the opportunity for a cozy home of 1,000 square feet or a much larger home with plenty of room for a growing family. You’ll find some homes in the neighborhood dating back to the mid-century mark, while others are more modern.
Residents of Bonita Shores enjoy such amenities as a shared community clubhouse and a boat ramp, offering up Gulf access to residents for an affordable price, including those who aren’t living right on the water. The Bonita Shores Club operates less like a homeowner’s association and more like an affordably priced social club. There club promotes frequent gatherings for its members including potluck dinners, book clubs, holiday parades and an annual yard sale.
As one of the only neighborhoods in Bonita to sit in Collier County, you’ll find Bonita Shores near Bonita Beach Road and Vanderbilt Beach Road. This puts area residents close to the beach and within walking distance of some local restaurants.
