Another multi-million-dollar home is off the market in Bonita Bay. According to reports, Richard Schulze, the founder of Best Buy, recently sold his Florida estate for a cool $4.75 million.
The sprawling home was recently on the market for close to $5.5 million. At the time, the home was considered one of the highest-priced listings in Bonita Springs.
The lakefront estate offers a whopping seven bedrooms and nine baths, set on more than one-acre of land in exclusive Bonita Bay. It’s been said the home is the largest property in the entire community.
With more than 14,000 square feet of exceptional living and entertaining space, the custom-built home was designed to appeal to Schulze and his extended family of children and grandchildren. The grand home includes a game room, a theater room and a billiards room.
In addition, it offers a multi-car collector’s garage, a screened-in pool and spa, and a children’s bunk room with enough space to sleep twelve. The home was originally built for about $9 million in 2000.
Schulze founded the electronics giant in the mid 1960s, and later served as its CEO for a number of years. While the Bonita Bay home served Schulze and his family for a number of years itself, it’s said they eventually outgrew the large home and ended up buying another property nearby.
While Schulze’s former home is certainly impressive, so is the entire community of Bonita Bay. Made up of dozens of different neighborhoods and some exquisite home designs, Bonita Bay also offers three golf courses within the community and two more nearby.
In addition, it provides for tennis courts, a large fitness center and a spa. You will also find several options in on-site dining and a private beach park a short distance away from the homes of Bonita Bay.
