Bad Axe: Don’t Be Fooled by the Name
Don’t be fooled by the name, Bad Axe is certainly much more than its moniker suggests. In reality, Bad Axe is a community of single-family homes in Naples that has a lot to offer its residents.
Located in Central Naples, Bad Axe homes were built over a number of decades, including some more recent additions in the mid 2000s. Some of the oldest homes, however, have since been torn down and replaced by newer models, while others have simply been updated over the years.
This means a lot of variety for potential homebuyers to consider when searching for a new place to call home in this part of Naples. Some of the homes come with wood-burning fireplaces and vaulted ceilings.
You will also find some fenced-in yards with mature trees and plenty of space for outdoor living and entertaining in the neighborhood. Some of the homes in this community come with screened-in lanais and private swimming pools, as well.
The majority also offer an attached garage for convenience, but there are still some older homes with carports. You will often, however, find such upgrades as granite countertops, wood cabinetry and stainless steel appliances with homes in this community.
The homes of Bad Axe typically range from around 2,300 to 2,900 square feet of living space. Many of the homes are priced in the mid to high $800,000s. The competitively priced community includes mostly mid-sized homes in a desirable location.
The community sits relatively close to the Downtown Naples area, making it easy to visit area businesses and restaurants in the region. Local beaches are within biking distance of Bad Axe, while the community itself also features some walking paths for outdoor recreation.
You’ll find the Bad Axe community between US 41 and Goodlette-Frank Road, just across from Park Shore Drive.
