A new, gated community is headed to the former site of a popular nursery running along Airport-Pulling Road in Naples. The nearly two-dozen-acre property is being redeveloped into a new community named Avery Square. When finished, the neighborhood will house a total of 82 single-family homes.

With floor plans ranging from around 1,800 square feet to almost 3,000 square feet of living space, the community will offer both one-and two-story designs of five different floor plans. These include everything from a three-bedroom, two-bath model to a home of four-bedrooms, 2.5-baths, a den and a loft. Priced starting in the mid $400,000s, the homes will all include a two-car garage.

Currently under development by PulteGroup, the future community includes plans for a more than two-and-a-half acre lake running along its western side with about 25-percent of the homes located on cul-de-sacs. Irrigation and landscaping maintenance are included with the price of a new home.

Located within a short drive of Vanderbilt Beach plus prime dining and shopping options at Waterside Shops and Mercato, the neighborhood also enjoys close proximity to top-rated area schools, golf and grocery stores. As well, it remains close to all of the many varied options of living in beautiful Naples.

Redevelopment of the property has gone through several phases over the past decade or so, once slated to be turned into a mixed-use development of smaller residential units, commercial space, dining and retail. Instead the land will soon provide new options in single-family homes for the Naples region.

Pre-sales for the homes of Avery Square should begin sometime later this fall. Meanwhile, the first residences of the neighborhood, including two model homes, are expected to be under construction starting in October 2016 with a target completion date for those original homes delivered sometime over the first few months of 2017.
