A new, gated community is headed to the former site of a popular nursery running along Airport-Pulling Road in Naples. The nearly two-dozen-acre property is being redeveloped into a new community named Avery Square. When finished, the neighborhood will house a total of 82 single-family homes.

With floor plans ranging from around 1,800 square feet to almost 3,000 square feet of living space, the community will offer both one-and two-story designs of five different floor plans. These include everything from a three-bedroom, two-bath model to a home of four-bedrooms, 2.5-baths, a den and a loft. Priced starting in the mid $400,000s, the homes will all include a two-car garage.

It seems that Naples is not only a beautiful place to call home but also a place that may just make you happier and healthier. At least that’s according to respected business and financial publication Kiplinger, which recently gave Naples top marks.

The editors of Kiplinger named Naples as the top city when it comes to “12 Great Places to Retire for Your Good Health”. Once noted as an old fishing village with few choices in dining, the city now boasts around 21,000 residents, many of them retirees flocking to Naples for the beautiful homes and miles of stunning beaches.

An enclave of coach homes will soon be offered at Avalon of Naples. Developed by Neal Communities, this multi-family neighborhood is expected to open later this fall, with a total of 152 carriage homes to choose from. The homes will be priced starting in the mid to high $200,000s.

Altogether the neighborhood will consist of 19 two-story buildings and four floor plans. Each of the buildings will offer eight units, with four homes per floor. The two ground-level floor plans will offer two-bedrooms, two-baths plus a one-car garage.
